Latimer Hinks Staff Rise to a Charity Challenge Latimer Hinks staff have embraced a charity challenge to turn £50 in to as much money as possible. Solicitors Nicola Neilson and Helen Booth and secretary Mandy McPherson are busy arranging an array of events to generate cash in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington, Hartlepool Hospice and Zoe’s Place baby hospice in Middlesbrough. Now they are appealing to the public to help them meet their goal as they launch a balloon race. About 100 balloons will be released on Saturday May 8 with people being asked to sponsor one at a cost of £2. The person whose balloon travels the furthest will win a family day out at Adventure Point at Morton Park, Darlington. The Latimer Hinks trio hope to turn the original £50 in to at least £750 through dress down days, a quiz night, cake baking and a car boot sale. Nicola Neilson, a Partner at Latimer Hinks, said: "Latimer Hinks prides itself on getting involved in the wider community and supporting a range of good causes within the Tees Valley and beyond. "We hope that as many people as possible will support our efforts by sponsoring a balloon. We are grateful to Adventure Point for donating the prize for the balloon that floats the furthest.” The charity challenge has been thrown down by Teesside accountants Vantis with Latimer Hinks having until the end of June to raise cash for the three charities. Chartered surveyors Smiths Gore are allowing Latimer Hinks to use the garden at its Darlington premises for the balloon release.
