Meaty Deal for Latimer Hinks  Fifteen jobs have been saved at a County Durham butchers after Latimer Hinks provided legal services for its acquisition.   Country Harvest Foods in Darlington bought Newton-Aycliffe based Mike Fenwick Quality Catering Butchers LLP from administration.   The company provides meat to quality hotels and restaurants.   Despite not being straightforward, the deal was completed in two days by Nick Poole and the team at Latimer Hinks.   Nick Poole said:   "The deal was a complicated one.   Mike Fenwick went into administration on Friday and we had the whole thing tied up by Monday despite a few hiccups along the way.      "I am pleased for our client who has acquired a business, which is a perfect fit with his current operation, while safeguarding the jobs of all 15 staff at Mike Fenwick.”   Country Harvest’s owner David Bamlett said:  "We managed to secure a deal with the administrators which will enable Mike Fenwick Quality Catering Butchers to continue to trade from its factory and retail outlet in Newton Aycliffe, and provide employment to all 15 staff.”   Administrator David Willis of BWC Business Solutions said:  "It is a quick deal but the nature of these deals is quick.   The company was insolvent and we as administrators in waiting had been negotiating with a number of parties who were interested in the business.”
