Latimer Hinks tune in for radio deal

Darlington law firm Latimer Hinks Solicitors has completed the purchase of five local commercial radio stations in the South West of England.

A newly-formed company, Your Media Communications, has led the six-figure acquisition of Bath FM, Brunel FM, BCR FM, Quay West and 3trfm. Nick Poole, Partner at Latimer Hinks Solicitors, completed the complex legal aspects of the deal.

Nick Poole said: I am sure that Your Media Communications drive and passion means that it will go onto expand and grow the business on the back of this initial deal.

The geographical location of these radio stations demonstrates that from Latimer Hinks point of view distance is no object.

The Your Media Communications senior management team includes Finance Director David Holdridge and Chairman Stephen Dexter. Most recently David Holdridge worked as a financial and business consultant. He is a former Finance Director of the Plastics Division of John Carr Group, part of The Rugby Cement Group. Stephen Dexter is a former Senior Partner at Grant Thornton in Oxford. Other members have substantial experience in the radio industry.

David Holdridge said: Knowing of Latimer Hinks reputation we were confident that the firm had the ability and experience to understand our needs. With the support and expertise of Nick Poole, the legal aspects of this complex deal were delivered in a highly professional and proficient manner.

These five radio stations are just the start. We intend to acquire other radio stations in the future as and when opportunities present themselves.
