Having trained and started her career with Muckle LLP in Newcastle, Emma subsequently moved to a regional practice in Stockton where she spent five years before joining Latimer Hinks in early 2021.

With over ten years’ of experience, Emma advises clients on a diverse range of real estate matters including disposals, acquisitions and working alongside corporate lawyers dealing with the property aspects of corporate transactions.

She is a specialist in landlord and tenant matters and enjoys acting for banks and/or borrowers in connection with secured finance.

Emma is also experienced in large portfolio transactions and regularly deals with buying of investment properties involving pension funds.

She has a practical and commercial approach to transactions and enjoys getting to know her clients so she can deliver a tailored personal service.

  • Freehold sale for £2 million of former head office premises of a building society subject to an occupational commercial lease
  • Property aspects of an acquisition for over £8 million of the shares in a company occupying seven properties under occupational commercial leases
  • Sale of a restaurant business and grant of an occupational commercial lease to the buyer with bespoke provisions relating to sub-letting
  • Acting on behalf of a bank and a farming partnership in relation to the grant of additional security over 77 acres of agricultural land
  • Acting on behalf of an individual in relation to the compulsory purchase of land by National Highways
