Latimer Hinks assists in bringing innovative sports service to farm shop

Latimer Hinks Solicitors has helped a popular farm shop expand and diversify its business with the introduction of a dedicated sports service that supports cyclists and triathletes.

The Lakeside Country Park, which is based in Ellerton, North Yorkshire, has agreed to lease an area of space to Triology Multisport Solutions, which specialises in professional advice and services for cyclists, triathletes and swimmers, as well as selling and repairing bicycles.

Neil Stevenson of Latimer Hinks, the Darlington-based firm, negotiated and completed the lease agreement for the space, which is located on the first floor of the farm shop and café.

Graeme Thompson, owner of the Lakeside, has seen his business expand from a shop and café, which his wife, Sarah, operates, to a country park and garden shop. The use of the lake and designated cycle route close by also attracts triathletes and cyclists, as well as sporting events.

Graeme said: “I am delighted to have completed this latest expansion of the business, and it is pleasing to see the infrastructure all come together. With increased participation in cycling following the Olympics two years ago together with the visit of the Tour De France in Yorkshire this year, the addition of Triology Multisport Solutions is exciting and fits in well with the facilities and activities here.

“I have known Neil for many years as he has acted on my behalf previously. As always, he was very helpful and approachable and his vast amount of knowledge allowed for a very smooth process.

Neil Stevenson, a partner in the commercial property department at Latimer Hinks, said: “With its prime location and increased sporting presence, the addition of such an innovative facility to Lakeside fits in well with the business that Graeme has created. I would like to wish Graeme all the best with his business, and I am delighted to have been involved with the deal of this exciting new venture.
