Rebecca qualified as a solicitor in January 2021 having trained and worked at one of the UK’s Top 100 law firms. Shortly after qualifying as a solicitor, Rebecca joined Latimer Hinks in Summer 2021.

Areas of practice:

Rebecca advises on all aspects of Private Client work. Rebecca has experience of assisting clients with the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate and Trust Administration. Rebecca also collaborates with colleagues throughout the firm to assist with succession planning for clients with agricultural estates.

Recent matters:

  • Advising clients on trust creation to assist with estate planning
  • Preparing and registering Lasting and Enduring Powers of Attorney for Property and Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare with the Office of the Public Guardian including Business Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Obtaining the Grant of Probate to a high value estate where it was necessary to assess and evaluate the availability of both Agricultural and Business Property Reliefs to minimise the estate’s Inheritance Tax liability.
  • Securing the Letters of Administration and dealing with the preparation of a Deed of Variation to reduce the Inheritance Tax liability of a beneficiary
  • Advising private individuals on and drafting tax efficient Wills including those with Life Interest and Discretionary Trusts
  • Dealing with all aspects of probate matters and estate administration including obtaining Grants of Probate and Grants of Letter of Administration
